PATCHOULI ESSENTIAL OIL

Sweet almond oil is beneficial for all dry skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, and chapped skin. The high fatty acid content assists in soothing irritated and inflamed skin, helping to reduce itching and redness. Vitamin E and fatty acids in almond oil give it the ability to fade away dark spots by increasing the turnover rate of skin cells; the old skin with the uneven dark patches is replaced by new and lighter skin. Sweet almond oil is used to treat almost any skin discoloration problem ranging from freckles and dark spots to wrinkles, blemishes, and acne. Along with it’s skin lightening abilities, sweet almond oil also helps to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays that often trigger or worsen dark spots.

 

NON-NANO ZINC OXIDE
Zinc oxide is a powdered mineral that acts as a physical barrier which shields your skin from the sun. It sits on top of the skin, scattering, reflecting, and absorbing UVA and UVB rays. A non-nano particle of zinc oxide does not enter the blood stream which makes the non-nano type of zinc oxide safer. Additionally, non-nano zinc oxide displays broader coverage against UVB, UVA, and blue light, as compared to nano zinc oxide.

 

SHEA BUTTER
The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing. Shea butter aids in the skin’s natural collagen production. It contains oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. Shea butter has comedogenic rating of 0-2, meaning that it is between noncomedogenic (will not clog pores) and moderately low likelihood of clogging pores. 

BEESWAX
Used in skin products, beeswax creates a barrier which helps to seal moisture into the skin, at the same time allowing it to breath and protecting from environmental toxins and irritants. Naturally contains vitamin A, which improves hydration to the skin and promotes cell regeneration.

CARROT SEED OIL
Health benefits of carrot seed oil can be attributed to its properties as an antiseptic, disinfectant, detoxifier, antioxidant, and an anticarcinogenic. It exhibits strong protection against free radicals that cause oxidative stress and cell damage, thus helping you retain your youth. Carrot seed oil tones the skin and prevents it from hanging loose or showing signs of aging. It has a natural SPF of between 38 and 40.

VITAMIN E
Vitamin E is an extremely powerful antioxidant. It has moisturizing and healing benefits, and helps to strengthen skin barrier function. Vitamin E is a natural anti-inflammatory, so it soothes and calms irritated skin.

Patch test before first use. Apply a half-a-pea-sized amount to your palms and gently massage into your face, neck and chest.

For extra hydration, first dampen skin with a toner or a face mist, then apply the sunscreen onto wet skin. 

 

While an estimate as to the SPF value of Malina natural sunscreen is 30+, please note that it was not laboratory tested. Always use caution and common sense when spending extended periods of time under the sun. We recommend that you test this sunscreen with your own skin tone by starting with shorter sunbathing sessions. Although beeswax makes Malina sunscreen waterproof, for best results reapply it every 2-3 hours or after spending time in water. Remember, the safest way to protect your skin is to stay out of the sun.
