TALLOW

Tallow is a powerful moisturizer loaded with a wealth of nutrients: vitamins, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It offers antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe irritated skin. Tallow and sebum share many of the same lipids in similar concentrations, which allows tallow to absorb deep within the layers of the skin. Tallow does not clog pores or cause irritation; it is high in CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), which soothes and decreases redness in irritated or acne-prone skin. Abundant in vitamins A, D, K, and E, tallow helps to protect the skin from free radical damage, thus reducing the signs of aging. Its topical use increases collagen production and stimulates blood flow to the skin, keeping it smooth and firm.

 

SODIUM HYDROXIDE

Making soap requires sodium hydroxide (lye), water, and oil to start the chemical process of saponification. While a fair amount of lye may be used to create the soap, a properly finished product doesn’t contain sodium hydroxide anymore.

 

TURMERIC

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, turmeric has the ability to balance good and bad bacteria on the skin, helping to improve condition of skin with acne, eczema and psoriasis, which ultimately reduces acne scarring, as well as builds collagen, allowing aging skin to appear more firm and vibrant. Curcumin reduces inflammation and neutralizes oxidation, which allows the skin to repair itself faster with less residual damage. It boosts dead skin cell removing process so that new skin cells can regenerate. Applied topically, turmeric reduces excess production of melanin helping to even out skin tone, brighten dark spots, and decrease hyperpigmentation. It also minimizes the appearance of dark circles and boosts circulation, thereby reducing puffiness and lightening the skin around your eyes. Turmeric inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory genes, blocking the inflammatory response pathway. It has been shown to increase the body's natural antioxidant capacity, boosting skin’s defense system against free-radical damage.

Before you start using this bar, store it in a cool dry place out of direct light.

Wet your skin, work the soap into a lather and apply it to your body. Gently massage it into your skin with a circular motion for about 30 seconds and rinse.

Place on a draining soap dish after every use.
