TALLOW

Tallow is a powerful moisturizer loaded with a wealth of nutrients: vitamins, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It offers antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe irritated skin. Tallow and sebum share many of the same lipids in similar concentrations, which allows tallow to absorb deep within the layers of the skin. Tallow does not clog pores or cause irritation; it is high in CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), which soothes and decreases redness in irritated or acne-prone skin. Abundant in vitamins A, D, K, and E, tallow helps to protect the skin from free radical damage, thus reducing the signs of aging. Its topical use increases collagen production and stimulates blood flow to the skin, keeping it smooth and firm.

 

SODIUM HYDROXIDE

Making soap requires sodium hydroxide (lye), water, and oil to start the chemical process of saponification. While a fair amount of lye may be used to create the soap, a properly finished product doesn’t contain sodium hydroxide anymore.

 

PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL
Peppermint essential oil is valued for its cooling effects. It contains menthol, an organic compound that helps to soothe discomfort. Peppermint essential oil has calming, softening, toning and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. By promoting better circulation, it stimulates the skin and gives it a youthful glow. It naturally repels insects, while the cooling sensation it provides can help relieve skin irritation. Its refreshing and stimulating scent is capable of boosting mental alertness and focus.

 

MICA POWDER
Mica is the name given to a group of silicate minerals used in makeups. Ground mica has reflective properties, delivering a shimmery effect. Mica minerals are considered a better option for use on skin than products containing artificial dyes likely to cause irritation. 

Before you start using this bar, store it in a cool dry place out of direct light

Wet your skin, work the soap into a lather and apply it to your body. Gently massage it into your skin with a circular motion for about 30 seconds and rinse.

Place on a draining soap dish after every use.
