GERANIUM ESSENTIAL OIL
Geranium essential oil is known to be an extremely potent tick repellent. Geraniol, the active ingredient in geranium essential oil, has been proven effective in repelling a wide variety of insects, including mosquitoes, ticks, flies, cockroaches, ants, fleas, gnats, and lice. Geranium essential oil smells floral with peppery notes.
TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL

CITRONELLA ESSENTIAL OIL
While citronella essential oil has many health benefits, it’s most well-known for its properties as a natural insect repellent. Citronella essential oil has been shown to both repel and eliminate insects, and is particularly effective on mosquitoes, lice, fleas, flies, and moths. No natural bug repellent article would be complete without citronella essential oil—it contains potent active compounds including geraniol, citronellal and citronellol. Citronella has a fresh, clean scent that has a strong lemony dimension to it.
LEMON EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL
Lemon eucalyptus essential oil is one of the most effective natural pesticides and bug repellents. It is very powerful at deterring mosquitoes, ticks, biting flies and gnats. PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL
Peppermint essential oil is a natural insecticide that kills and repels mosquitoes, ants, fleas, beetles, spiders, and flies. It is valued for its cooling effects—it contains menthol, an organic compound that helps to soothe discomfort. Peppermint essential oil has calming, softening, toning and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. Its uplifting, minty scent promotes awareness and helps relieve mental and physical fatigue.

Best known for its calming and relaxing properties, lavender essential oil is also one of the most potent natural insect deterrents. It repels mosquitoes, ticks, flies, ants, bed bugs, fleas, and moths. Lavender essential oils’d fragrance is sweet, floral, herbal, with balsamic undertones, soft and balancing.
HEMP SEED OIL
Hemp seed oil has a very similar composition of fats and amino acids as natural skin oils, making it one of the most well tolerated carrier oils for all skin types. Packed with essential fatty acids, vitamins E and C, hemp seed oil is an excellent emollient. Hemp seed oil improves the appearance of skin by increasing circulation. It also reduces redness and inflammation associated with acne breakouts and is a great treatment for eczema, psoriasis, and dry, itchy skin. Hemp seed oil has comedogenic rating of 0, meaning that it is noncomedogenic and will not clog pores.
SHEA BUTTER
The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing. Shea butter aids in the skin’s natural collagen production. It contains oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. Shea butter has comedogenic rating of 0-2, meaning that it ranks between noncomedogenic (will not clog pores) and moderately low likelihood of clogging pores.
